I am a writer specialising in architecture, design and building engineering. I also run writing skills courses for architects, engineers and other design professionals. With 30 years of experience in architecture, I offer genuine, in-depth industry expertise.

My mission is to help architects to communicate engagingly and convincingly with clients, project teams, planning authorities and local communities. I believe good writing can help architects to win, deliver and publicise projects and to share their thinking and research with a variety of audiences.

My clients include AECOM, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Arup, Atelier Ten, Bennetts Associates, BPTW, C2 Concepts, Collective Architecture, Cullinan Studio, David Morley Architects, dRMM, Eric Parry Architects, Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, Fletcher Priest, Hawkins\Brown, Haworth Tompkins, Jestico + Whiles, JTP, Levitt Bernstein, MEPK Architects, Metropolitan Workshop, Page\Park, Penoyre & Prasad, Pollard Thomas Edwards, Ryder and Stockwool.

I am also an architectural storytelling associate with business-led marketing consultancy Built For Marketing. And with Fiona Rintoul, I run Fund Writing, which offers specialist writing skills training for fund management professionals.

As a creative writer, I have recently finished my first novel – The idea of Gary Cave – a story with themes of typography, tailoring and vintage dresses. I am represented by Thérèse Coen at Susanna Lea Associates.
